Albuquerque, NM has a Run for the Zoo half marathon in early May that raises money for their zoo.  The half marathon runs on the ditch bank ( which is paved), and in Tingly Beach.  Its a very pretty run in the bosque.  It starts at 7 am in the morning.

It gets hot fast and when I finished it was about 80 degrees.  The path is nice and flat.  My time was 2:05
